Shrewsbury Resident Pankaj Saharia Celebrates 25 Years of ASCE Membership

Longtime Shrewsbury resident and experienced Bridge Engineer Pankaj Saharia is proud to have recently celebrated his 25th year of membership within the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).

Shrewsbury resident and professional Pankaj Saharia has contributed much to the field of structural engineering over the course of his 20-plus year career. His achievements, which are many, include the structural design and seismic analysis of numerous structures/projects throughout the states of New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Massachusetts, a growing list of accomplishment he adds to each and every year of his notable career.

A well-educated, experienced and sought-after bridge engineer, Saharia continues to enjoy the opportunity to not only make impactful contributions to his profession, but to also work alongside his fellow professionals, and colleagues, to make a real difference in and for the field of structural engineering.  A passionate and compassionate engineer, Saharia has recently eclipsed his 25th year of membership in the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), sharing in the growth, success and continual impact of his field with thousands of fellow professionals for more than two-and-a-half decades.

The ASCE, a 150,000 member-strong organization, has provided civil engineering professionals like Saharia the chance to pursue numerous informational resources, continuing education, networking and professional development opportunities for over 160 years. The oldest engineering society in the country, ASCE provides helpful resources and services to members in 177 nations around the globe, and is continually dedicated to the continued advancement and progress of the profession.

A longtime resident and professional of the Shrewsbury, Massachusetts area, Pankaj Saharia appreciates the opportunity to make tangible and lasting contributions to the field of structural engineering, as well as to pursue his passion for making the community a better place for future generations.

“I am passionate about whatever I do,” says Saharia, a 1992 graduate of the University of Detroit (MS, Civil Engineering). “My aspirations in life is to make this world lively and peaceful by contributing as much as possible. As a structural engineer by heart, I would love to be a part of the building process of this beautiful world, and to make it livable.”

Pankaj Saharia has also been a member of the United States Building Council (USGBC) for more than a decade. In his free time, Saharia enjoys dabbling in instrumental music, primarily through the electric guitar.
