Etzel, Jr., has been named the Board Chairman for The Cove Center for Grieving Children. He has been a member of the Board of Trustees since 2009.
Previously, Mr. Etzel served as The Cove's 2012 Gala Committee Chair for "A Taste of the Cove", a black-tie-optional event featuring celebrity guests, dinner, music, dancing, and live and silent auctions. For the past several years, KBE has sponsored the annual gala event, as well as the annual "Run for The Cove," a 5K race and two-mile memorial walk event as part of its charitable initiative, 50 Ways to Make a Difference.
A non-profit organization, The Cove Center for Grieving Children is headquartered in Meriden, CT, and provides free grief support services for children and families in need. Opened in 1998, The Cove has expanded its reach across Connecticut through Family Sites in Meriden, Guilford, New Haven, Stonington, West Hartford, and Easton. A seventh Family Site is currently in planning for East Hartford.
The Cove's new Board Chairman and Trustees were installed on July 9, 2013, with terms until June 30, 2015.
