Simplesa Offering Digital Video Legacy to PALS
Simplesa ® is sponsoring a digital video project to help their clients leave a legacy.
Coral Springs, Florida, April 14, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Recent technology and studies are focused on the use of digital mediums to preserve the “voice” and legacy of PALS (persons with ALS). There are many reasons for doing these videos, but the emotional benefit is one of the most important outcomes. Inspired by these efforts and the tremendous impact it has for PALS and their families, Simplesa is now sponsoring a program to record these digital legacies.
Many with ALS/MND will eventually have problems with movement and speaking. The result is either a partial or complete inability to move or communicate. This causes tremendous frustration and is emotionally crushing. The ability to record and document a PALS’ experience, feelings, and thoughts is not only empowering and cathartic, but helps to raise awareness to the challenges and needs of all those effected by ALS.
"The team at Simplesa believes in doing everything it can to help, support, and empower our customers for quality of life. Our hope is that by sponsoring this effort for our customers, it can help create and preserve a legacy of their voice and experiences."
Steve Margolis, Simplesa Vice President
Caregivers and families often record simple videos of the ALS patient while they can still speak, but often they are too overwhelmed with the daily challenges to undertake this task. Simplesa is offering their clients the opportunity to have their story or legacy recorded by their digital team.
Some of Simplesa’s patients have already recorded their story, experiences, accomplishments including Simplesa client “My Life, My Story – ALS Fighter Tommy Mastrodicasa.” Not only are these videos very compelling to watch, but they serve many purposes for the PALS. It can be a moving experience to share and preserve your experience, thoughts, and voice.
Studies like the work by PhD student Oliver Clabburn who is currently investigating the use of videos as a purposefully recorded ‘digital legacy’ with people affected by ALS/ MND are documenting the impact and value these recordings have on those impacted by ALS. Simplesa’s goal is simple – help their customers with quality of life and offer a video to preserve their voice and legacy.
Simplesa vice president Steve Margolis stated: “The team at Simplesa believes in doing everything it can to help, support, and empower our customers for quality of life. Our hope is that by sponsoring this effort for our customers, it can help create and preserve a legacy of their voice and experiences.”

About Simplesa®
Simplesa® was founded in 2013 because it saw a need and had a solution. ALS patients were having success following the Deanna Protocol, but it was too complex and expensive the way it was distributed. Simplesa® formulated products specifically for these ALS patients to simplify their regimen and lower the cost of the products they take. The brand is continuously on the lookout for other similar situations to help patients keep their supplemental and nutritional regimes simple.
