Simprentis Malaysia Commences Operation in Kuala Lumpur

With the opening of its new office in Kuala Lumpur, Simprentis Malaysia is bringing the latest training and learning simulation tools to oil and gas exploration companies in both Malaysia and Thailand.

Simprentis Malaysia, which is part of the Simprentis international group of companies, has commenced operation in Kuala Lumpur. Simprentis, headquartered in the Faroe Islands, is a leading provider of training and learning to the international oil and gas industry.

According to Mr. Nelson Wong, who is heading Simprentis Malaysia, the new office will serve to meet the training and learning needs of oil and gas exploration companies in both Malaysia and Thailand. With oil and gas exploration being one of the most expensive and most risky projects undertaken by the energy industry, there is a real need for engineers and support staff to be well trained before they are released into the field.

Houston, Calgary, Qingdao, London, Kingston, Caracas, and Stavanger are among the many cities where Simprentis had delivered its training courses recently. Participants include a wide range of different groups in and around the energy industry, including university students, support staff, geoscientists, petroleum engineers, bankers, politicians, and governmental officials.

Energy companies which had deployed 'OilSim,' the learning simulation tools created by Simprentis in the training of their respective oil and gas exploration teams, include Chevron, Shell, Total, StatoilHydro, Maersk Oil, DONG Energy, Olf, Anadarko and Eni.
