6 months after announcing a partnership between SimScale - the pioneer in web-based engineering simulation and Onshape – the first and only full-cloud 3D CAD system, SimScale introduces its Connector App as part of the recently launched Onshape App Store.

With SimScale Connector App, users can easily import their CAD models directly from Onshape into SimScale without the need of exporting and uploading any files between both systems. This is a significant step towards moving the complete product design workflow to the web and improving an overall accessibility of both CAD and CAE technology to a larger audience.

"We are thrilled that SimScale is one of our first Connected Cloud Apps available in the Onshape App Store. We are impressed by the depth of simulation capabilities it instantly provides to Onshape users. It's amazing to think that no matter the complexity, products can be designed, tested and refined in your web browser."

Darren Henry, Director of Marketing at Onshape

"The vision of Onshape is very well aligned with ours, so we are really excited about the results of our partnership. We hope that with the SimScale Connector App users will be able to fully leverage both systems, and as a result further speed up their design process" said Agata Krzysztofik, Director of Marketing at SimScale.

SimScale Connector App can be accessed directly from the SimScale platform or from the Onshape App Store that was introduced today in a private beta-mode. SimScale’s app is one of the first applications offered in the Onshape App Store and is available free of charge to all the SimScale and Onshape users.
