Landed properties in Singapore have seen prices moving up in the second quarter 2012. Prices for landed properties continues to see momentum and appreciation.
Online, August 1, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Singapore property market is showing resilience despite the global economic uncertainty. Home prices for Singapore landed properties have seen prices appreciate in the second quarter of 2012 despite slower sales in the private home market. According to Urban Redevelopment Authority index, prices of landed properties have increased by 0.4 per cent from the previous three months. Conditions in Singapore Property market for private properties are still supportive for moderate price growth despite the slower sales in the last few months.
Generally, landed home prices have outperformed non- landed home prices since the third quarter of 2010. And over the past seven years, prices of such homes have almost about doubled. Investors in Singapore property market still perceived landed properties as good investment because of the limited supply in land scarce Singapore.
On the other hand, buyer's appetite for non landed private homes is still robust, with almost 12,000 units sold in first half of 2012. The slower sales in the last three months are mostly due to the holiday season and developers holding back their new launches.
Potential buyers of landed properties in Singapore can consider a new launch landed property project, called Haus @ Serangoon Garden. This project is developed by City Developments and Hong Realty. Almost 39 units out of 50 landed houses released in the past two weeks has been sold.
Another new landed property which will be ready for moving in soon is The Shoreline Residences. The Shoreline Residences are among the first landed development under the pilot envelope control scheme to achieve a more interesting design. Owners will enjoy new architectural design elements such as split level floors with internal glass walls to improve communication of family and visual space.
