Sitecore Leaps to Highest Position on Ability to Execute in Gartner's Magic Quadrant, Web Content Management
Holborn, United Kingdom, July 31, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Sitecore, the global leader in customer experience management, today announced that it has leapt to the highest position in “ability to execute” by Gartner, Inc. in its 2015 “Magic Quadrant for Web Content Management” for the first time ever, above all other WCM vendors.
The evaluation criteria for a vendor’s ability to execute included product/service, overall viability, sales execution/pricing, market responsiveness and track record, marketing execution, customer experience and operations. Criteria for completeness of vision included market understanding, marketing strategy, sales strategy, product strategy, business model, vertical/industry strategy, innovation and geographic strategy. Sitecore lands in the leadership quadrant for the sixth consecutive year.
“Since Sitecore was established, we’ve worked hard to help organisations deliver more personal, quantifiable experiences to their customers,” said Simon Etherington, UK MD, Sitecore. “It’s very rewarding to see this pay off, particularly as we’ve leap-frogged the competition this year and taken pride of place in the ‘leaders’ box ahead of all others.”
Michael Seifert, CEO and co-founder, Sitecore said, “Today, it’s imperative that brands create great customer experiences to set themselves apart in a crowded market, and as the leader in this category, Sitecore enables its customers to deliver more relevant, personalised, and contextual experiences at scale.
“With its roots in web content management, the Sitecore Experience Platform enables marketers to customize every customer experience in real time. Gartner’s recognition reinforces not only the quality of our platform, but also our customer base, partner network and world-class team.”
Gartner specifically acknowledged Sitecore’s popularity among .NET developers, along with the range of capabilities in Sitecore® Experience Platform™ 8, the latest version of its flagship product, calling it “the best in the market.” Features like analytics, A/B testing and data management make Sitecore 8 the platform of choice among other offerings.
The recognition marks a successful year for Sitecore which continues to post double digit growth and to be profitable. Company customers include Dole, Suzuki Motor of America, The Gates Corporation, Rust-Oleum and Baldor Electric Company. Additionally, the company expanded its offerings with the addition of Sitecore Commerce 8 in January 2015, followed by an extension of its mobile apps platform with a key strategic partnership.
Available on premise or in the cloud, the Sitecore Experience Platform was built to provide a simple, completely connected web experience management and digital marketing solution that empowers organisations to shape every brand experience.
