Noah Webster Academy was the first Michigan charter school, now under private direction. NWA school is seeking to include traditional American moral values in its curriculum recommendations. The Philosophy of Education guiding principles, personal character, and self discipline are among the discipline that comprehends the child's right to learn. These principles also state it is wise for students to strive to leave a place that has sustained them in better condition than they found it so that their posterity can live to enjoy it too. NWA encourages an environment to allow children to learn to the extent their expected maturity dictates.
