Consulting Magazine ranks the technical consulting and outsourcing services firm 3rd among the country's small consulting firms, making it the second consecutive year SkillStorm has made the esteemed list
Online, August 30, 2010 (Newswire.com) - SkillStorm has been named one of Consulting Magazine's Best Firms to Work For. The company was ranked 3rd in the small firms category, moving up an impressive six spots on the list since 2009. This list, based on employee surveys, recognizes companies that have truly distinguished themselves as the profession's premier employers of choice. This is the second consecutive year SkillStorm has been named to the list, scoring highly in the areas of career development and compensation and benefits.
"We are thrilled to have made the Best Firms to Work For list again. This award is extremely important to us since it's based on the feedback of our employees. Our people are our greatest resource; without them, SkillStorm would not be as successful as it is today. Being a Consulting Magazine Best Small Firm to Work For means that our employees are happy which is the best measure of our success and being on the list two years in a row means that we must be doing something right - this award proves that our outstanding benefits and 'out of the box' perks are well received," said SkillStorm CEO Vince Virga.
The Consulting Magazine Best Firms to Work For survey is widely considered to be the most comprehensive, independent source of opinion about the quality of life within top consulting firms. Results from the survey are tabulated across six different categories: compensation, work/life balance, career development, job experience, firm leadership and firm culture. Approximately 200 companies competed in this year's Best Firms to Work For survey. The ranked firms are especially recognized for prioritizing their consultants' job and their entire workforces despite challenging economic condition.
SkillStorm was founded by Virga and other close friends who all excelled in the Information Technology services industry, but wished for a technology consulting firm that rewarded employees for their hard work; a company that believed that business can still be fun and fast-paced, stimulating and successful. Knowing they weren't alone in this dream, they threw caution to the wind and started SkillStorm. Today, the multi-million dollar company has five offices nationwide and over 275 employees.
SkillStorm offers amazing incentives that keep employees motivated and eager to contribute to the company's growth and success, including unique employee recognition programs and all-expenses paid vacations to Atlantis, Cancun and Cabo San Lucas. SkillStorm employees feel that the company is a great place to work because of its fun and rewarding environment, excellent benefits, impressive employee career development and recognition programs, involvement of management in their well-being and family environment.
SkillStorm has received many highly regarded national and state awards. Most recently, SkillStorm was named to the 2010 Inc. 5000 list of Fastest-Growing Private Companies in the Nation by Inc. Magazine and ranked #6 on Florida Trend magazine's 2010 Best Companies to Work For in Florida list. The company has also ranked among the top 2010 executive search and employment services firms for the Dallas Business Journal, San Diego Business Journal and Tampa Bay Business Journal. In 2009, SkillStorm was named one of Consulting Magazine's top ten Best Firms to Work For and South Florida Business Journal's Business of the Year and Best Place to Work.
