SkuVault to Sponsor Louisville JCPS Girls to Attend Women in IT Conference
LOUISVILLE, Ky., November 21, 2018 (Newswire.com) - SkuVault, a Louisville-based warehouse management software company, will cover the cost for female students from JCPS to attend the second Women in Technology Conference, along with title sponsor Papa Johns. The event will take place on December 4th in Old Louisville.
The goal of the WIT Conference is to help close the gender gap in the technology sector. The event will feature women from a variety of STEM-related industries speaking about career advancement, artificial intelligence, data science, coding, security, software engineering and more. Featured speakers include Catherine Harris, CIO of USAA Bank, Dr. Sharon Kerrick, Dean of Bellarmine University, Haleh Karimi, Executive Director and Lecturer at U of L, Cyndi Masters, CEO of DBS Interactive, Sarika Attal, Director of Engineering at Papa John’s International, Grace Simrall, Chief of Civic Innovation and Technology for Louisville Metro Government, Caitlyn Cambron, Director of UX Design at Interapt, Crystal Adkins, Curriculum Engineer and Android Instructor at Interapt, and Donna Reed, Director of Career Services at Sullivan University.

This year’s conference is not all about women. The conference will feature "a few good men," Tom Cooper, VP Business Technology Leadership with Humana and Mike Nettles, EVP, Chief Operating & Growth Officer with Papa Johns International. They will join a panel with Amy Schroder with Kindred Healthcare and Trina Spalding, IT Security Officer with Hillard Lyons and talk about how men can be allies to women in the IT field.

Attendees are asked to bring gently used computers or iPads to the event to donate to the JCPS technology program or to make a donation to the JCPS robotics program.
