Slalom Announces New Office in Washington, D.C.

Slalom, a Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For consulting firm that designs and builds strategies and systems to help companies solve their most complex and interesting business challenges, recently announced its expansion into the mid-Atlantic region with its new office in Washington, D.C.

Slalom’s Washington, D.C. office is led by General Manager Kristine Rohls. Rohls has over 20 years of experience working with commercial and government entities on key strategic, operational, and organizational issues across a range of sectors. Prior to joining Slalom, she was a Vice President at Booz Allen Hamilton.

"We value building authentic relationships. We're not trying to sell a particular solution set or particular tool. We're really leading through the relationship, understanding what our clients' most significant business challenges are, and then being honest about whether or not we're the right partner to help."

The diverse landscape of opportunities across the private and public sector attracted Slalom to the D.C. area. Slalom’s holistic approach to business challenges provides clients with collective insights across industries, disciplines, and markets.

“There’s a real opportunity to bring commercial best practices and deliver in the private sector, as well as offer those best practices to federal clients. We can bring the most innovative ideas and proven practices from around the country in combination with a local delivery model,” said Rohls.

Slalom’s intimate, local delivery model backed by national resources enables the firm to be more deliberate about the type of work it pursues—and that’s an important differentiator in the D.C. market, explains Rohls

“It’s easy for companies to get distracted here and lose their identity, given the wide variety of work that clients buy in this market,” says Rohls.

“We value building authentic relationships. We’re not trying to sell a particular solution set or particular tool. We’re really leading through the relationship, understanding what our clients’ most significant business challenges are, and then being honest about whether or not we’re the right partner to help,” says Rohls.

When you’re not trying to grow for growth’s sake, you can be very purposeful about the type of work you want to be doing, Rohls explains. “For us, it’s where we can make an impact and offer our people the right kind of opportunities,” says Rohls.

Slalom’s Washington, D.C. office is located on the 13th floor at 8000 Towers Crescent Drive in Vienna, Virginia. For more information, contact [email protected].
