SlamData's Latest Release Delivers No-Code BI for NoSQL, Support for Elasticsearch
BOULDER, Colo., July 20, 2017 (Newswire.com) - SlamData Inc., the leading analytics company for modern data, today announced that its latest release, SlamData 4.2, delivers no-code BI for NoSQL. The new platform allows users without query-language knowledge or developer skills to explore, visualize, build — and embed — interactive reports simply through SlamData's user interface.
"With our more powerful UI and new visual querying features, everyone — regardless of technical skills — can create and share insights from live data in MongoDB, Couchbase, MarkLogic and Spark," said Jeff Carr, SlamData's Co-Founder and CEO.

A key feature in SlamData 4.2 is the Structure Viewer, which allows customers to easily understand both the data and the structure of the data visually. It delivers immediate "meta" awareness of a database's contents — something that has prevented product managers and business intelligence analysts from getting immediate insight from their NoSQL data sources.
"It's like getting Google Maps for your NoSQL database," said Carr. "Structure Viewer is going to profoundly enhance and speed up the way clients derive insight from MongoDB and other NoSQL data sources they use."
The latest release also adds more charting options with the introduction of geo-based data visualization. Heat maps and dynamic markers allow users to visualize geographic distribution of users, product usage or any other data set.
SlamData's flexible and scalable embedded reporting makes it the go-to solution for SaaS applications.
SlamData 4.2 includes support for an additional NoSQL database: Elasticsearch.
"We have consistently been asked about adding support for Elastic almost since we released our first MongoDB connector," said Jeff Carr. "Elastic powers search on so many of our users' applications — particularly on top of MongoDB — that we're happy to give our users the power they need to visualize and explore their data and embed reporting into their apps."
SlamData provides Elastic users a complete analytics solution compared to tools like Kibana. SlamData also provides complete support for SQL.
The latest release also delivers enhancements to its embedding. Users can simply click on a chart or report, copy the embed code, and embed it in any application. SlamData's platform is the foundation for scaling embedded reporting to hundreds and thousands of users.
