Soc.io™ Mall Shuts Down AndAppStore

Online, May 28, 2012 (Newswire.com) - AndAppStore was launched in October 2008, and started out as free Android application directory with over 1,000 android applications. The application was offered as royalty and contract free on-device client to OEMs (original equipment manufacturer) and Android device vendors providing top-rated, most downloaded and apps categories.

In late 2010 Seavus™ Group acquired the promising company, while the client application got upgraded and rebranded into Soc.io Mall on 21 June 2011. The original AndAppStore platform was kept alive for the users to have the time make the switch to the new Android mall. The purpose of the acquisition was to build not just an app store, but a mall that will serve Android™ users thousands of apps, games, e-books, audio books, music, videos and more. Soc.io Mall commercially opened the same year in October bringing to live the option for easy and safe buying of free and paid Android content. Today, Soc.io Mall offers more than 50.000 digital products.
