Soccer and Rugby Imports Donates Soccer Balls to the Kick for Nick Foundation

SOUTHPORT, Conn., July 3, 2018 (Newswire.com) - ​Soccer and Rugby Imports, an online sports apparel and equipment retailer, has announced their annual donation toward the Kick for Nick Foundation. This foundation supports U.S. troops and volunteer efforts, and Soccer & Rugby is thrilled to be a part of such a great cause.

The Kick for Nick Foundation delivers sports equipment to underprivileged children so that they can have an equal opportunity to enjoy sports. The Kick for Nick Foundation was initiated in memory of PFC Nicholas A. Madaras of Wilton, CT who lost his life while on duty in Iraq in late 2006.

Nick was a devoted and eager footballer, coach and referee all throughout his youth. While in Iraq, Nick realized how many talented children were over there at the game of soccer. Although they didn’t have the privilege of owning a soccer ball themselves, Nick saw that talent that was there as they played soccer with tin cans. In honor of Nick, Soccer and Rugby Imports is donating soccer balls to children in less fortunate countries.
