Social Networking For Broken Hearts?

Romance Blues is a social networking site aimed at people with broken hearts and has just launched. It's offering people surviving break ups the chance to share their experience with others and fast track the healing process.

Romance Blues may not be the best known social networking site online but it is on a very important mission. It's aimed at helping broken hearts heal through an emotinally-charged period of their lives through interaction.

Romance Blues has just launched and it encourages people going through relationship break ups to share their story. Founder JD Dean says "One of the toughest feelings for someone just involved in a break up is that feeling of loneliness. It's like you are the only person on the planet and there's a feeling everyone is avoiding you."

Mr. Dean says that while that's not really the case, being able to release some of that emotion through sharing it can really kick start the healing process associated with surviving a break up. Think back to a bad break up you might have had. Think of the feelings you had shortly after. Did it feel like the world was against you especially if you were on the receiving end?"

Romance Blues was conceived after Mr. Dean noticed he was getting lots of comments left on his main relationship blogs. It consisted of people simply wanting to share their break up story and looking for a little help and guidance on how to survive a break up.

Romance Blues is free to join and once inside, members will be able to set up their own profile, create their own page, take part in a member forum where they can interact with others and be able to add friends to their lists. Mr. Dean says there will also be regular news items relating to relationships posted and member downloads such as relationship guides.

Mr. Dean also wanted to make it clear that Romance Blues would not be a place for people to blatantantly advertise their wares. "That's one thing we'll monitor very closely and while we will allow some mild promotion, blatant spamming will not be tolerated."

Romance Blues will be a place people dealing with a break up can go and express themselves in a controlled fashion and get help from others who have been through a similar thing and have survived a break up and moved on successfully.
