Social Networking Success Hits Weybridge With Launch Of Women's Only Members Club
Online, February 8, 2011 (Newswire.com) - As an alternative to the Women's Institute (WI) which targets a very different audience, Hens Dancing is designed for women from 35 years plus, and offers an annual membership at £36.00 enabling members/'hens' to access a range of social activities planned throughout the year. Since its launch in 2008, over 1000 women have registered on the Hens Dancing website, which is currently active in towns across Kent and growing in Surrey with groups already established in Reigate and Guildford.
The Weybridge launch will take place in the form of a coffee morning on Saturday 19th February 2011, 10.30am at Strada Hotel in Cobham and hopes to bring the benefits of social networking to more local residents in Weybridge and surrounding areas. "Women's social groups have long been in existence", comments Gill Buchanan, Founder of Hens Dancing, "either in school playgrounds, in the work place, at sporting venues, but what if women don't fall into those categories? What is different about Hens Dancing is that it is available to all women whatever their interest at critical lifestyle changes, including separation from a partner; moving to a new town; city; returning from overseas; grown up children leaving home or women simply looking to mix with like- minded women".
Sally James, local radio broadcaster and resident will be hosting the Weybridge group moving forward and will be available with Gill Buchanan to greet members and answer any questions at the launch event on the 19th.
"We have been holding coffee mornings for a few months now in different towns and they have been a great success and a really good way for women to find out more about Hens Dancing in a relaxed atmosphere. The sort of women that come along are looking to network locally, particularly those who have recently moved to the area, or simply find they want to indulge in some 'me time'. Others include professionals who work from home and feel isolated, whilst some feel their partners or husbands, simply don't enjoy the more female focussed activities" continues Gill.
As well as organised meetings, Hens Dancing members can enjoy a range of benefits including help and advice on the website on female matters from the menopause to career changes. There is also a Travel in twos scheme which is designed to match Hens Dancing members in the same area and put them in touch so they can car share when they go to meetings. This also works for the theatre trips up to London where women can travel on the train together and has proved very popular.
More information on the Weybridge Coffee Morning is available on the website, www.hensdancing.com for women who take out a Free Trial Membership.

About Gill Buchanan
Sensing a gap in the market Gill Buchanan set up „Hens Dancing‟ to provide a face-to-face social networking group for women who want more out of life. Gill has a BA honours degree in Business Studies and is a qualified life coach. Having escaped the rat race and pollution of London to live in Kent, she moved to a tranquil village near Tunbridge Wells, which encouraged her to reflect on life's priorities, which led to the Hens Dancing concept.
It was a stint at Friends Reunited that sparked Gill's passion for the worldwide web and the opportunities it brings, particularly as a platform for social networking. Gill is combining her knowledge of the web and extensive experience in marketing to take Hens Dancing forward.
