Somerhalder, Shatner, Gillan Q&As Top Panels at Wizard World Cleveland Fri-Sun
23rd Fl, February 16, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Q&A sessions with Ian Somerhalder (“The Vampire Diaries”), William Shatner (“Star Trek”), Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead), Karen Gillan (“Doctor Who,” Guardians of the Galaxy), a concert by videogame tribute band “Critical Hit,” screening of The Crow, costume contests, comics creator panels and more are among the programming highlights scheduled at the inaugural Wizard World Comic Con Cleveland, Friday through Sunday at the Cleveland Convention Center. Most programming is included as part of the standard event admission.
Some highlights of the more than 50 panels scheduled include:
Interactive Q&As with Shatner (Saturday, 1 p.m.), Somerhalder (Saturday, noon), Campbell (Saturday, 4 p.m.), Gillan (Saturday, 3 p.m.), and Michael Rowe (Sunday, 12:30), and (Saturday, 11:00 a.m.)
Dual Q&A sessions with WWE® Superstar Dolph Ziggler™ and WWE® Diva Paige (Saturday, 1:30 p.m.), Guardians of the Galaxy duo Sean Gunn and Gregg Henry (Saturday, 4:30 p.m.), and The Lord of the Rings tandem Billy Boyd and Graham McTavish (Sunday, noon)
Q&A with “The Walking Dead’s" Scott Wilson (Sunday, 1 p.m.), “one-on-one” with Drea De Matteo (“Sons of Anarchy,” Sunday, 1:30 p.m.), and “go out for a bite” with “Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s” James Marsters (Sunday, 2 p.m.) and more
World Of Warcraft Composer Jason Hayes Presents: Behind The Music With “Critical Hit” (Saturday, 3:30 p.m.). Then at 6 p.m., the band performs original arrangements and electrifying live concerts of music from the most celebrated videogames of all time
Costume contests for adults (Saturday, 7 p.m.) and kids (Sunday, 3:30 p.m.), plus cosplay-themed sessions with Wizard World personality Damian Beurer, veteran cosplayer Mogchelle and others
Comics-themed sessions with Michael Golden (“Storytelling,” Saturday, 12:30 p.m.), and Tom Cook (“Tarzan,” Saturday, 2:30 p.m.) and others
Screening of The Crow (Saturday, 7 p.m.), preceded by a Q&A with creator James O’Barr (6:30 p.m.)
Green Ranger Half Hour of Power with Jason David Frank (“Mighty Morphin Power Rangers) , a karate class for all ages (Sunday, 1:30 p.m.)
Special effects workshop with the master, Robert Kurtzman (Saturday, 12:30 p.m.)
