Something Life. Changing. Is Happening At Riverview Medical Center
Online, June 28, 2011 (Newswire.com) - When residents of Monmouth County think of the positive, life-changing moments they've had throughout their lives, most likely one of those moments involves Riverview Medical Center. Whether it's a nurse handing over a first child, or a surgeon confirming a loved one will be ok, Riverview has been and will continue to be there for patients and families in their time of greatest need.
Riverview Medical Center is excited to announce the Riverview Medical Center Capital Campaign, "Life. Changing." The fundraising campaign will raise donations for the newly announced 22,000 square foot center for surgical excellence in the Blaisdell Pavilion, on the Medical Center campus.
The Campaign has already raised more than $10.4 million in private donations towards its minimum goal of $15 million. "The funds committed to the project from this campaign will ensure that Riverview Medical Center is building the best care close to home with the latest medical technology," says David Flood, president of the Meridian Health Affiliated Foundations.
Lead donors of this Campaign include Joan and Bob Rechnitz, with a $5 million gift; campaign co-chair George Kolber and family, with a $1 million gift; and campaign co-chair Domenic DiPiero and family, with a $500,000 gift.
"The support of our trustees, community friends, physicians, and team members is a wonderful testament of how important this project is to our hospital and to our community," said Tim Hogan, FACHE, president of Riverview Medical Center. "Now, we will seek additional vital support from community members and businesses to raise the remainder of the funds needed to complete our project."
In addition to private donations, the team members at Riverview Medical Center have already generously donated more than $340,000 towards the campaign. "As a proud member of the Riverview Medical Center team, I wholeheartedly support the goal of the Life.
Changing. campaign to enhance our facilities and services for the community," says Kris Rovell, R.N., nurse manager. "The ability to continue giving our patients the highest level of care in a new cutting edge surgical center will allow Riverview to be one of the nation's innovators in surgical care."
