Sonic Edge announced today that it is shipping its new FXUL8TR pedal, the fourth product in its boutique guitar and bass effects line. The pedal adds studio quality effects to any amplifier, without the need for a built-in effects loop.

The FXUL8TR provides a JFET buffer-isolated signal from any guitar or bass amplifier speaker output jack, to a line level signal that feeds an effects processor. The wet only output of the effect can feed another amplifier's effect loop return or a power amp with speakers, to create Dry/Wet and Wet/Dry/Wet setups.

The FXUL8TR also features a standalone microphone preamp with phantom power for performance and recording, or as a second feed for Dry/Wet and Wet/Dry/Wet setups.

The user can also blend the two signals before feeding an effects chain, or signal out to another slave amp.

"Over the years, many customers have come to me wanting to add an effect loop to their vintage amplifiers" says Ben Fargen, President and co-founder of Sonic Edge, "however they are afraid to alter the original circuitry of their vintage amplifiers. The FXUL8TR is a simple and effective solution to this problem."

Sonic Edge pedals are available directly on Sonic Edge's website, www.sonicedgeinc.com and at select dealers worldwide.

Ben Fargen launched Sonic Edge in March 2010, to focus on manufacturing best-in-class guitar and bass effects pedals. Ben is founder and President of Fargen Amplification, founded in 1998, which has become a thriving boutique company that ships custom-built amplifiers to discerning players across the globe. Ben has developed a reputation as one of the top engineers and visionaries in the amplifier space. He also provides world tour and studio amp support to many of the world's most celebrated guitarists including Joe Satriani and Steve Vai, and designed Steve's Legacy II amplifier that was launched by Carvin in January 2009.
