Sonic Emotion and Toshiba Team Up to Expand Toshiba TV Audio Accessory Line at IFA in Berlin

Developer of Award Winning Absolute 3D Sound and the Global Innovator in Technology Launch 3D Sound Bar; Offering Advance Non-Traditional Sound Systems

Sonic Emotion, the developer of Absolute 3D sound and Toshiba Europe GmbH, will introduce the next edition to Toshiba's TV accessory line, Mini 3D Sound Bar II, now with external wireless subwoofer, HDMI with CEC and ARC support and Bluetooth at the IFA Consumer Electronics Unlimited Show in Berlin. The sound system, designed by Toshiba and featuring Sonic Emotion's Absolute 3D sound technology, will provide users a nontraditional, multipurpose performance system that elicits optimum sound quality and creates the ultimate in home 3D listening experience for movies, music and video games compatible with TV, laptop, tablet or smartphone.

Toshiba's Mini 3D Sound Bar II is an expansion of the Mini 3D Sound Bar which was launched last year at IFA 2012. Now with the Mini 3D II, it continues to offer a single compact device measuring 290mm long, 72mm high and 100mm wide but now capable of distributing a total of 90 watts of power with an extra external wireless subwoofer for even more bass and Bluetooth® or NFC for one touch audio streaming capabilities. The device requires no messy cabling; and includes a preset equalizer with adjustable bass, a 3.5 millimeter line-in jack and HDMI with CEC and ARC support.

"We are delighted to be extending our partnership for the second year in a row with Toshiba," said Rajeev Kapur, CEO of Sonic Emotion. "The launch of Toshiba's Mini 3D sound bar II proves that our Absolute 3D technology is being accepted by their customers allowing us to provide yet again high quality audio experience that they desire."

Founded by audio experts, Dr.-Ing Renato S. Pellegrini and Dr. sc. techn. Matthias Rosenthal, Sonic Emotion's Absolute 3D sound technology was developed from the concept of sound field control through the application of expertise in four fundamental aspects of 3D sound: wave field synthesis, spatial analysis, psychoacoustics and physical acoustics. With proof of concept established in the professional world, ranging from movies theatres and concert halls to museums and stadiums, the technology was adapted to meet the demands of the consumer electronics industry. Sonic Emotion's sound technology gives consumers the opportunity to listen to movies, music and video games in Absolute 3D from anywhere in a room, with no calibration, extra cabling, equipment or speakers.

Now in its 53rd year, the IFA Consumer Electronics Unlimited Show, organized by the German Association for Entertainment and Communications Electronics, is Berlin's top industry trade event that features the world's largest manufacturers presenting the newest innovations to the market, media and industry experts. This year's event, being held at the Messe Berlin Center, kicks off on 6th of September and will run through 11th September.
