Sound Intelligence And Evo, Inc. Have Partnered To Revolutionize The Baby Monitor

Sound Intelligence has developed a special algorithm which can detect a baby's cries, and has been able to embed the technology into the Evo platform.

With the release of the new WeMo Baby by Belkin, along with technology from Sound Intelligence and Evo, Inc., the way parents think about monitoring their babies has changed forever. This new Smartphone Baby Monitor is powered by Evo's baby monitoring service, ( http://www.Myevoz.com),and utilizes an algorithm developed by researchers at Sound Intelligence.

Sound Intelligence from The Netherlands, is known worldwide for its advanced audio analytics platform which is used in security and healthcare applications. Researchers have developed an algorithm that can detect a baby's cries. "The real challenge was teaching the algorithm the broad range of baby cries across different ages, ethnicities and many other dimensions", said Derek van der Vorst, Sound Intelligence's CEO.

Gone are the days of having to listen for a baby's cries in a nearby room, as this new technology enables any iOS phone or Tablet to become a digital baby monitor, from anywhere. WeMo Baby works over 3G/4G or Wi-Fi to wirelessly stream high quality audio from the baby's room to a mobile device.

The free WeMo Baby App is powered by Evo, ( http://www.Myevoz.com),and provides unlimited access to the baby's status. The App features an upgrade that brings baby monitoring to a new level. As part of this advanced monitoring feature, parents can receive cry notifications via text or email, cry history information, and analysis of the baby's crying and sleep patterns.

All the sleep articles, videos and coaching services available as part of the Evoz premium services are provided by Kim West, the Sleep Lady. West, the author of 4 books on baby sleep, has trained and certified dozens of sleep coaches around the world.

"We learned from over 50,000 parents that have been using different Evo products that there is a desire for personalized parenting services - really tying the baby's data to useful information" says Avishai Shoham, Evo's CEO.

Shoham also shares that additional monitoring products and services are expected to launch in 2013. These products will include new Sound Intelligence algorithms that will enable revolutionary monitoring services in the home & pet monitoring categories.
