Source1 Purchasing, a leading supply chain management company for the food and hospitality industries, announced the strategic formation of its Board of Advisors representing a broad spectrum of members at the top of their respective industry. Source1 President Scott Hoffmire made the announcement.

Source1's Advisory Board was established to provide Source1 with strategic guidance, innovations and industry trends to help inform Source1's offering of cost management services and partnership opportunities into the foodservice industry. Each member of the Source1 Advisory Board plays a critical role in positioning Source1 for sustained growth and success. The Board will also provide recommendations to enhance Source1's client-driven purchasing programs to introduce and involve Source1's audiences to receive access to reduced costs and improved operational efficiencies.

The distinguished members of the Source1's Advisors are:

Gary Karp, Executive Vice President, Technomic, Inc. (Special Advisor)
Gary Karp has over 39 years' food industry experience, serving in general and senior management positions in marketing, sales, public relations, purchasing, strategic planning and category management. His experience spans foodservice, retail, convenience stores, club stores, vending, processing and distribution.

Gary Schwartz, Vice President, Supply Chain Management, P.F. Chang's China Bistro
Gary Schwartz is Vice President of Supply Chain Management for PFCB, Inc., parent company of PF Chang's China Bistro and Pei Wei Asian Diner based in Scottsdale, Arizona. Prior to joining PF Chang's in 1999, Mr. Schwartz was the Director of Purchasing for Quality Dining, Inc. an operator of casual dining and quick serve restaurants based in South Bend, IN. Mr. Schwartz served as the Regional Director of Purchasing for Club Corporation of America between 1990 and 1995 overseeing all procurement and distribution for private clubs and golf courses throughout the Eastern US. Mr. Schwartz has also held various management positions in fine dining restaurants, resorts, and hotels over his 25 year career in the hospitality industry.

Larry Welch, President, Pillars Hospitality Group
Larry Welch has been a founding partner in several hospitality business ventures and most recently Mr. Welch formed the Pillars Hospitality Group in 2008. Under his guidance, the company is positioned to support investors and owners seeking to capitalize on low property values and underperforming hospitality assets. Prior to forming Pillars, Mr. Welch held senior executive positions with several industry leading companies. The following is an abbreviated list of companies Welch had the honor to serve: Levy Restaurants, Gaylord Entertainment (formerly Opryland Hospitality Group), John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts, and Davidson Hotels, Flautt Properties.

William Hartwig, Former Vice President Supplier Relations & International Procurement, Marriott Lodging
Bill Hartwig was the vice president, global supplier relations for Marriott International, Inc. and provided strategic direction and executive management to Marriott's procurement function worldwide. Since Mr. Hartwig joined Marriott in 1985, he has held several positions within the lodging brands and businesses of Marriott. He led the first Marriott-branded hotel in China to become market leader and gain official five-star tourism status within the first year of operation.
