Southern Fryde, Inc. Staying True To Their Roots, CD Release Party July 16

Online, July 6, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Southern Fryde, Inc. (SFI) are a southern band. Like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Little Feet, The Almond Brothers, 38 Special and Molly Hatchet, SFI are from the deep south. Their music is steeped in the Southern Rock tradition and that big guitar sound that helped shape countless young American minds in the 70s and 80s. Yes... SFI is definitely a band from the South... of Canada.

Being from a border town on the South Western tip of Ontario, SFI felt a real kinship to the Outlaw Country and Red Dirt music they heard coming from radio stations just across the river in the United States. By the time they were in high school the members of SFI would be performing that music themselves at the bars, halls and festival around their home town.

The members of FYI have played in bands with and without each other for 25 years. In 2010, Dave Allan, Ddroyd, and Stu Brandon started writing music in the style that has influenced them since their earliest days as rockers, and it just flowed naturally. In a few short weeks the guys had written 11 songs. They got on the cell and called up a couple old jamming buddies, Dale Good, JP Esser, and Big Daddy, Roy. "We couldn't have made a better choice, they are machines and came into the studio and laid the tracks down flawlessly (mostly first take)", says Dave. "We love the rawness of it all. We just jammed it out and you can feel what we came up with."
