Online, March 28, 2011 (Newswire.com) - NEW ORLEANS--The Southern U.S. Trade Association (SUSTA) is now offering southern U.S. agricultural and related companies the opportunity to grow their businesses internationally through Food Taipei, one of Asia's most important food shows, June 22-25, 2011.
"Taiwanese buyers are very receptive towards US-style food and cuisine, and an excellent gateway for companies starting to target Asian markets," said SUSTA executive director Jerry Hingle. "We want companies that we work with to explore this prime market through this great event for sales opportunities of southern U.S. food products."
In 2010, Food Taipei welcomed exhibitors from 28 countries. The event was attended by more than 4,500 overseas visitors and 40,000 local visitors. Attendance at this year's event is expected to be even greater. "It would be a challenge to find a food product that visitors to Food Taipei wouldn't be interested in - everything from dairy and meats to snacks and fresh fruits," said Bernadette Wiltz, SUSTA Deputy Director and International Marketing Director.
Registration deadline for both events is Feb. 25. Participants will receive a furnished booth, interpreter services and shipping for up to 100 pounds of product samples from a consolidation point to the show. For more information, visit the event calendar at www.susta.org.
