Southwest Florida Firm Making An Impact in the US and Mexico Oil Trade

Allyn International is managing the transport of cargo from Texas and Louisiana to Dos Bocas, Mexico. This cargo is supporting the initiative of Mexican company Pemex, to replace oil pipelines between the US and Mexico.

Allyn International Services, Inc. (Allyn) successfully completed the delivery of 58 truckloads of cargo from Texas and Louisiana to Dos Bocas, Mexico. The cargo is to support the Mexican oil company, Petroleos Mexicanos (Pemex), in their initiative to replace worn-out pipelines.

Mexico is a top supplier of oil to the United States and Allyn is supporting Pemex's 10-year project to replace an aging infrastructure between the US and Mexico which includes more than 1,100 miles of pipeline that range from operational to completely shut down. In addition, there are smaller intra-Mexican pipelines in Tabasco, Veracruz, Chiapas and Oaxaca. One of the most critical oil refineries and crude oil export locations for Pemex is located in Dos Bocas, Tabasco, in the heart of the oil-rich Gulf of Mexico region.

In 2009, Allyn began shipments to Dos Bocas for another Oil & Gas industry client. That shipment, a total of 35 truckloads, included pipes, joints and other project materials. In 2010 & 2011, more cargo was shipped, this time via break bulk ocean vessels, out of Houston to Dos Bocas.

In June 2012, Allyn managed 38 truckloads for the 1,300 mile trip via Laredo / Nuevo Laredo corridor to Dos Bocas, Tabasco, Mexico. A second set of cargo, 20 trucks, was shipped in September. Allyn was able to deliver the shipments, safely, on time and with a savings of more than 200,000 USD due to competitive bidding. Allyn is expecting to handle additional shipments in 2013.
