Spaude Roars Into Lime Rock For Memorial Day Classic

Bret Spaude and the Subaru Road Racing Team race this weekend in the GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Series Season.

Rising GRAND-AM star, Bret Spaude, and the Subaru Road Racing Team (SRRT) #35 WRX STi race this weekend at the Lime Rock Park Memorial Day Classic as part of the GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Series Season. This will be Spaude's is coming off an 11th place finish at the Bosch Engineering 250 at the Virginia International Raceway, where he also qualified in fourth to start the race.

"Lime Rock is our best track. As long as my qualifying is good, we should have a great car," said Bret Spaude. "It's also a different line up with Andrew being out for this weeks' race after his accident last weekend. John Hienricy will be filling in for him. The driver rotation will stay the same. John is a great asset to our team off the track and ever a bigger one on the track. He is by far one of the most successful drivers in the paddock and I'm privileged to be driving with him. We have continued to keep making strides to make our Subaru a better race car. We have made some pretty big adjustments since VIR, both tuning and handling and those should show this weekend."

Lime Rock leads the first back-to-back race weekends on the GRAND-AM schedule, with the running of the Six Hours of the Glen one weekend later at Watkins Glen. Spaude and the Subaru Racing Team are looking to use Lime Rock as an opportunity to build momentum as the GRAND-AM season heads into its busiest and most competitive time of the year. Lime Rock Park should strongly favor the all-wheel drive sedan of the Subaru Road team.
