Spine-Tingling Tales of the Creepy, Deranged and Mysterious Returns to Apple Holler

Apple Holler, known for its restaurant with down-home cooking, apple picking, outdoor attractions, horse-drawn sleigh rides, tractor wagon rides, dinner theatre and more, is bringing back for its second season, a special fall entertainment package. The Outdoor Autumn Evening Theatre Experience takes the scenic under-the-stars setting of their orchard and Enchanted Forest and combines it with great food, creepy tails and a moonlight tractor-drawn wagon ride, to make a perfect fall evening outing.

Guests will begin their evening with a picnic-style meal under the covered pavilion or next to the glow of a warm campfire. This delicious meal will include: All-You-Can-Eat Chili Bar with all the fixings, all-beef hot dogs, salad, corn bread, hot apple cider and home-made pie. They will then make their way to the Indian Summer Tent Theatre where they will enjoy Spine-Tingling Tales of the Creepy, Deranged and Mysterious II. This season's "creepy tales" will include: "The Twilight Zone" episode, The Obsolete Man, by Rod Sterling, W.W. Jacobs' The Monkey's Paw and Miss Sidley and the Children; adapted for stage from Stephen King's "Suffer the Little Children". Guests are reminded to bring their blankets along to snuggle up in, as the final destination of the evening will be the moonlit orchard as a tractor-drawn wagon coaches them through the eerie autumn night.

"Last year, we decided to create this new type of theatre experience here a Apple Holler; something that was different from our usual theatre performances, that also allowed our guests to enjoy our beautiful outdoor setting during the autumn," says Heather Clayton, Apple Holler Entertainment Director. "There are so many people who enjoy experiences like this in the fall and we received a very nice response from our guests during our first year. I have been getting calls from a number of folks who came out for Spine-Tingling Tales in 2009 and are so excited about coming back again and are planning on bringing more family and friends along for the fun."

Apple Holler's Spine-Tingling Tales will be performed Friday and Saturday evening throughout the month of October, beginning Saturday, October 2nd and will begin at 7:00pm. The price of $39.95 per person includes: a full chili and hot dog meal, beverage, tax, tip, the performance of Spine-Tingling Tales and the tractor-drawn wagon ride. All performances are by reservation only. Call (262) 886-8500 for further information or to make reservations. Information is also available online at www.appleholler.com.
