Online, May 29, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Events teach a lot to the students. They are the test of what they have learnt and an opportunity to prove their abilities. With similar views 6th Annual Fair has been organized at Indore Management Institute - a premier b-school for MBA, BBA and PGDA in central India. The fair was named Spirit - IMI to reflect its concern about quality education, all round skills development and promotion of its students among the invited industrialists, businessmen and professionals.
"We have been celebrating this fest for last five years with several implied reasons" informs a Mr. Pradeep, the festival coordinator, " the fest is a way to celebrate the completion of their MBA, BBA, BCA degrees, and at the same time to help them realize their true potential and exhibit it before the potential employers" he adds.
Its true that practical exposure is very essential for management graduates today. They can do much better in any field if they are given a chance. It's the responsibility of seniors to give way to the new generation and let them apply innovative ideas at work place. "Our annual fest is entirely organized and managed by deserving and desiring MBA, BBA, PGDM students" informs Pradeep, "we do provide them necessary guidelines but mostly we leave them free to do it their way everything from fund management to the last minute windup thus they learn a lot many things and gain confidence for a powerful start ahead" he adds.
While this seems to be a very encouraging and practical move by the management of Indore Management Institute, it is not enough. Its okay to provide students with opportunities to exhibit their talent and skills, but to whom? "It could have been better had they given a chance to exhibit their potential to prospective employers" says Pranav Das, a management consultant from a reputed consultancy firm in the city who was present at the site of annual function. "This is exactly what we are doing here by inviting many of the industrialists, businessmen and professionals in this program" interrupts Pradeep, "we have been much aware of this very need of MBA, BBA students and promote their skills to the best possible extent in the industry" he adds.
When asked what else have they been doing to promote MBA, BBA students of the institute for better career opportunities, the coordinator informed that IMI has been training students on various extra curriculum requirements such as personality development, English proficiency, sports and etiquette too. They have contracted with several national and international placement consultants to offer better career opportunities to the students through them. Besides resumes of brilliant students are passed through industrial network and requirements are published on dashboard in the premise. Above all, IMI also conducts job fair every year which is due in June this year. With all these features IMI seems to have been working hard to put its students ahead. However aspiring students should make their own inquiries prior to seeking admission in MBA, BBA, BCA or any other course. Their contact detail is being furnished here for your help.
