#SpreadLoveInstead Campaign by Genbook Generates Over US $180,000 for Service-Based Businesses Affected by Stay-at-Home Orders

Genbook, the leading cloud-based software for service-based businesses in grooming and wellness, today announced it has generated over US $180,000 for entrepreneurs of service-based businesses that were affected by coronavirus stay-at-home orders via its #SpreadLoveInstead campaign.

Some of the businesses that have been hit the hardest during the pandemic are the ones in the beauty, wellness, and personal care sector. To alleviate the stress of cash-flow brought about by stay-at-home orders, Genbook launched #SpreadLoveInstead, a campaign designed to inspire the public to help small businesses generate income during the peak of the COVID-19 crisis.

Genbook’s campaign boosted referrals and awareness for its business directory, which gets upwards of 1 million monthly client visitors. From there, the company encouraged clients to support their favorite Genbook businesses by purchasing gift certificates via its dedicated Give Local marketplace, which they could donate or use at a later date.

Genbook’s campaign helped thousands of businesses weather the storm. One such Genbook customer, Sa-Sah Salon in Virginia, had an exceptional response of support from their community and the campaign.

“We were overwhelmed by the support of our clients and community who supported us via Gift Certificate purchases,” said Samuel Soliman, Owner of Sa-Sah Salon. “Genbook provided the platform and encouragement, and we were able to generate enough revenue, over $8,000, to keep the business afloat. People love our salon, so they try to support us when they can. We cannot thank our clients, community and Genbook enough!”

Genbook’s CEO, Philipp Liver, responded, “We know how affected so many small service-based businesses have been during this pandemic, and so we are delighted to hear and share a positive outcome like this with the wider community. We remain stable and reliable as we have promised, and will be there for our Genbookers both in good times and during tough periods like these.”

Liver explains that while the market cut costs, engaged in price wars, and took valuable funding away from service-providers by cashing into the PPP (Paycheck Protection Program), Genbook took alternative measures to help give back.

“Genbook answers to our customers, and our customers only. There are no hidden surprises, and we’ll remain strong during this crisis and long after. This is not the only initiative you will see from the Genbook team - we are always looking for new and innovative ways to help remove distractions for entrepreneurs,” he added.
