Spring Board Is The New Concept App That Reinvents The Bucket List

Spring Board is an app for iPhone that is currently raising funds on Indiegogo. It offers a twist on the bucket list where the user gets friends and family to brainstorm suggestions for their own list.

The crowd funding campaign for Spring Board is now underway at www.bit.ly/springboardapp. Spring Board is a new concept app that flips the script on the bucket list with an underlying philosophy that values awareness and engagement over achievement. It is different than a bucket list for two reasons. First, there is no bucket. The bucket can symbolize death, and bring fear into the process. The goals on a bucket list also tend to put fulfillment in the future, not the present. Second, there is no goal. Spring Board is about making a habit of doing the things you love to do, because these things are what make you who you are. It is about a constant cycle of renewal, not achieving a goal on a list.

The way it works is that the user recruits close family and friends to be their "buds". Buds send "springs", which are things they would love to see the user do, or experience. If a spring resonates with the user, they pin it to their "Spring Board". With this exercise of brainstorming springs with their buds, the user will likely find they are inspired and motivated to step out of their comfort zone. When the user does anything related to a spring, big or small, they "tap" the spring, sparking conversation and supportive encouragement from their buds. When they have exciting news to share in relation to a spring, they celebrate with their buds.

"Spring Board is about giving proper attention to the things that bring meaning to your life, as these things make up who you are. It is about making a habit of living a life full of vitality. Everyone I tell about Spring Board gets excited about using it in their own lives; the idea of having your friends brainstorm cool things for you to do really seems to resonate with people", says Chris Fitzgerald, founder of Stageflip Studios, the developer behind Spring Board.

Spring Board's crowd funding campaign launched March 21st (marking the start of spring) with Indiegogo, a crowd-funding platform. Spring Board seeks to raise $35,000 to cover the costs of design and development.
