Squanky Kong Insurrection Delayed 30-Days

With a last minute decision and effort to maximize the quality of the final product having taken longer than initially expected to complete, the new Squanky Kong EP release has been delayed till October 13th, 2015.

The rock band Squanky Kong has officially announced the release date for the upcoming extended play record, “Imminent Insurrection”, has been pushed back till October 13th, 2015. The first promotional single, which was originally expected to be online in mid-July, is now expected for late August. The reason given is a last-minute decision to take a different route with mixing and mastering the record taking longer than anticipated. Producer-artist James M. House expressed not wanting to shorthand the release preparations, or the quality of the final product.

Imminent Insurrection is the first release of new material seen from Squanky Kong for over five years, when the independent album Under a Raven's Review came out.

"I had an opportunity to get the final stages of the record completed at a higher-quality than initially planned. It has taken longer than expected, but will be worth the wait."

James M. House, Producer-Artist

Squanky Kong is described as Hybrid Rock with influences across a broad range of the Rock genre, infused with hints of Jazz, Funk, Classical, Blues, Reggae, EDM, and more. The band is led by producer-artist James M. House whom is know for his virtuosic style while switching between guitar and six-string bass. The frontman for the band is Joseph Michael (ex-White Wizzard, Midnight Reign). The rest of the band is currently made up of Lamar Little on Drums and Tarry McHailen also switching on guitar and bass, with talk of adding more.

This new release exhibits a rebirth for SK, debuting a live band for the first time, the new frontman Joseph Michael, and a more focused direction and sound of House's music. As with previous releases, House is playing all the guitar and bass work on the studio work. There are also keyboard contributions on one song by House's longtime friend Joseph Wooten (Steve Miller Band and Victor Wooten Band), whom also appeared extensively on the previous independent album release.
