Michelle Liang
RXVIP Concierge is a growing network of Pharmacists who are poised to help people manage the rising costs of healthcare that impacts patients’ lives. The senior management team of the company wants to empower the next generation of PharmDs to deliver their professional services by leveraging a relationship that RXVIP has developed with the largest non-profit organization providing patient assistance programs NeedyMeds.org.
RXVIP Concierge Pharmacists, will train PharmD candidates to review health records and then work directly with patients to provide meaningful consultation and counseling on their medications in physician offices at the Point of Care
RXVIP will not train PharmD candidates to dispense prescriptions, but instead will mentor students so that they can dispense care, compassion and empathy for those needing our help most. As RXVIP Cares 360 Patient Advocates, they will be able to utilize their expertise in areas of medication management effectively, while providing cost saving solutions on prescriptions for Medicare patients with two or more chronic disease states.
The RXVIP Cares 360 Patient Advocate program will help pave the way for future PharmDs entering the profession in years to come to be recognized as Providers.
"To be recognized as Providers, we must realize that it is our responsibility to help patients find ways to pay for their needed medications. People across the country cannot afford their prescriptions, which leads to poor adherence and declining patient outcomes." stated Michelle Liang. "When we graduate, we will be able to provide these needed patient-centric cost saving services and chronic care management to the people who need them most, plus have a new career as a trusted and valued RXVIP Concierge Pharmacist." Liang concluded.
"As a St. John's Alumni, I am committed to help educate and mentor others in our profession. Michelle is one of the brightest stars I have ever had the pleasure of meeting so we are thrilled to have her lead this initiative" said Ken Sternfeld, Founder of RXVIP Enterprises, LTD. "She has extraordinary leadership skills plus a commitment and passion for advocacy within her profession that quite simply inspires me to be a better Pharmacist." Sternfeld concluded.
The RXVIP Cares 360 Patent Advocate Program will launch at St. John's this fall with more chapters opening in other colleges of pharmacy nationwide in 2017.
