The film Heaven is for Real is adapted for the screen from the best-selling book by Todd Burpo with Lynn Vincent and the account of his young son's near-death experience. After the not yet four-year-old boy, Colton, recovers from a touch and go emergency appendectomy, he inexplicably describes his out of body experiences and encounters with deceased family members - forcing his family to struggle with the implications of his story.
