STAR Servicios LinguÃsticos Passes Quality Audit With Flying Colours
Online, November 30, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Three years after its last certification to the international quality standards ISO 9001:2008 (Quality management system) and EN-15038:2006 (Translation services), STAR Servicios LinguÃsticos was again certified to both standards on 17.11.2011. European Quality Assurance Spain (EQA) carried out the quality audit over a period of two days.
STAR Servicios LinguÃsticos' team passed the audit with flying colours, without a single issue, and had every right to feel pleased with the praise it received from the auditor.
"Our quality management system is more than simply a means to pass the audit or to achieve a quality mark, we see it as an essential tool in managing the business. It has become a permanent part of our business culture and every day helps us to keep an eye on the quality of our service and to continually improve it," says Elena Alfaro, Production Manager and Quality Manager in the company.
UNE-EN 15038
The European UNE-EN 15038 standard establishes basic criteria for the provision of translation services. Initiated by the European Union of Translation Companies EUATC, the standard was developed by the National Technical Committee AEN/CTN 174 of the Spanish Standardization and Certification body AENOR. It was approved by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) in April 2006. The system of regulation replaces all other European standards previously used in the sector. It is very much based on ISO 9001:2008 but establishes specific measures for the quality assurance of translation services.
ISO 9001:2008
