Startup Dojo Co-Working Space Launches Python Coding School
Online, July 29, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Utah, Co-Working space, Provo Startup Dojo, recently launched Dojo Dev Camp, a 9-week intensive vocational program specializing in Python web development. Dojo Dev Camp says their goal is to "Educate, empower and employ aspiring web developers" and offers assistance with job placement after the program. All students who accept employment with a Dojo Dev Camp partner receive a $1,000 tuition refund.
The school recently partnered with the Women in Tech Council to offer a $2,000 women's scholarship. Dojo Dev Camp is currently working with other local organizations to provide more scholarship options. Total tuition for the course is listed at $7,000.
Although Dojo Dev Camp is now one of three developer schools in Utah, it does stress a difference in structure and curriculum, especially with its emphasis on Python as opposed to the Ruby and Node.js courses being taught at other local schools.
Dojo Dev Camp continues daily to build relationships with developers across the nation who are offering their time to mentor students and prepare them for the ever changing world of professional development. The program will also include regular presentations from technology specialists and a professional hiring event for graduates.
Classes are expected to start Fall of 2013 and require a rigorous schedule of 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. The program focuses especially on teaching through hands-on experience, as opposed to lengthy daily lecture.
Since launching, Dojo Dev Camp has been reviewing applications from both students and potential mentors. For more information contact Dojo Dev Camp via their website at http://dojodevcamp.com
