State-of-the-art Shredder Cuts Through Red Tape

The new mobile shredder is fully operational and looking for business.

"The mobile shredder is on a lorry, about the size of a bin lorry. We drive to the customer's premises and it gets done there and then.

The paper goes in and then we bring it back to our premises."

The shredded paper is put into bales and sold to Shotton Paper in Flintshire for newsprint.

Mr. Gilruth said firms are worried about data protection and the mobile shredder allows them to dispose of sensitive material securely.

"All we need is a parking space, the machinery has its own power and the people paying to dispose of their material can come out and watch it being done. Once it is completed they get a certificate of destruction."

The machine has already made a difference to a leading Shropshire car dealer. It shredded 4.2 tons of material in the shredder.

The mobile shredder can shred 1,500kg of material every hour which is the equivalent of 20 wheelie bins or 120 archive boxes every hour.
