Statum Systems Receives Notice of Allowance for First Patent Application for 'Enhanced Pager Network'
Patent bolsters communications in environments traditionally divided and in which Wi-Fi or cellular service is not reliably available.
BOSTON, September 29, 2020 (Newswire.com) - Statum Systems, an innovator in critical communications platforms for medical and other applications, today announced that it has received from the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office a notice of allowance for U.S. patent application number 15/877,986, for its “Enhanced Pager Network.”
The Company was founded last year to solve a fundamental problem plaguing healthcare delivery today: fragmented and unreliable communication among medical teams.
The patented technology relates to features of Statum System’s innovative StatumHEALTHTM unified medical messaging platform, in which messages directed to a user within a patient-care chat session may be directed to a device configured to receive pager-frequency messages to be displayed directly in the user’s mobile device.
This patent supports a holistic technological solution to unify and bolster communications in an environment where communications are traditionally divided, and in which Wi-Fi or cellular service is not reliably available.
“We’re very excited about the allowance for this patent application, the first of a series of patent applications that we’ve filed covering core features of our technology,” said Fred Lizza, CEO of Statum Systems. “This patent allowance validates our approach to developing disruptive and cutting-edge solutions for medical and other critical communications.”
Most recently, the Company announced an equity crowdfunding campaign on StartEngine to support field trials of its patent-pending product StatumHEALTH™, a HIPAA-compliant medical communication and collaboration platform that securely connects caregivers with each other and hospital systems and data in locations with or without Wi-Fi or cell coverage.
