Stay At Home Mothers Are Finding That Selling On Ebay Is A Stable Income Source
Stay at home mothers are reporting that selling on eBay has become an unexpected source of regular revenue for their families.
Online, May 27, 2010 (Newswire.com) - In this day of economic change, many women and their families have been struggling to make ends meet. This has led to a large number of mothers who have had to re-enter the workforce after staying home with their children for so many years.
However, the times are changing quickly as more and more stay at home moms have jumped on the bandwagon of making a living online. eBay is nothing new, but the idea that an entire income could be based around garage sale finds and thrift store deals has shocked many mothers.
"Being able to create a full-time income on eBay is definitely doable," says author and eBay trainer Charity Cason. Her book, "How Moms Are Making Money Selling on eBay: How One Mother Took Other People's Trash and Turned Them Into Profitable Treasures" has become a popular handbook for mothers who want to turn a big profit each month on the online auction giant's site.
"In the past, many women simply used eBay as a way to resell their children's clothing or buy a used DVD. Now, women are seeing that the income opportunity is enormous if they understand how to properly research items before buying them to resell," Cason said.
Ms. Cason warns potential eBay sellers that research is imperative before jumping into the often choppy waters of eBay. Buying items before research can drastically cut into the profit margins and cause a brand new business to nosedive.
