By calculating each brand's highest projected residual value after five years and then dividing that by the True Market Value of the vehicle sold brand new, Edmunds found out how well each brand's vehicles kept their worth. It is now the second consecutive year that Japanese automaker Honda has taken the top spot. SteveGermain.com reports that Hondas are retaining (on average) 47.9% of their value in five years.
