Straps are PINK to Search for Breast Cancer Cure

Inventor Supports The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® for Breast Health

Azusa, Calif.(Jan. 12th, 2010) - Moving furniture and appliances will take on new meaning this year supporting the fight against breast cancer. A.A.C. Forearm Forklift, Inc. is launching pink leverage straps throughout 2010 because they're proud supporters of The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). In fact, a donation of $10,000.00 will be made by Forearm Forklift to help fund breast cancer research.

BCRF is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to achieve prevention and a cure for breast cancer by providing funding for research and increasing public awareness about good breast health. It's raised hundreds of millions of dollars for research since inception in 1993.

"My family and I are committed to help protect women's health and we're impressed that BCRF is the most highly rated breast cancer organization in the U.S. I researched, and it's documented, that over 85% of the resources raised by the Foundation go directly to research grants and awareness programs. They're an amazing charity, with a great cause and we're honored to support life-saving research as well," said the Forearm Forklift's inventor Mark Lopreiato.

A.A.C. joins many other companies - Coach, Sephora, Delta Air Lines and Clinique - that have "gone" pink to improve awareness and fight one of the most common causes of fatality in women. "The Breast Cancer Research Foundation is honored to have Forearm Forklift as a dedicated partner in our fight against breast cancer," said Robbie Franklin, Director of Marketing at The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. According to 2009 findings from the American Cancer Society, women in the U.S. have a 1 in 8 chance of developing invasive breast cancer in their lifetime and a 1 in 35 chance of dying from it.

ABOUT FOREARM FORKLIFT®
Forearm Forklifts have a patented design that employs leverage which makes furnishings carried seem 66% lighter. They also encourage proper body mechanics which greatly reduces the chance of potential injury due to heavy lifting. In fact, they're the first moving tool ever to be O.S.H.A. accepted. The straps are also easy-to-use and adjustable. They move furniture off the ground which keeps dollies' wheels off your sensitive floors. What's even more impressive is that more than 6 million of their "original" pair have been sold in America since 1998!

The company is still owned and operated by the former mover who invented the product right after college in San Diego. Shortly after coming up with the idea, the inventor actually challenged himself to write his own patent which was later granted by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Its patent number is 6,039,376.

In 1998 the inventor had his Harley Davidson stolen and in a turn of events, instead of buying another one, he then made the commitment to invest everything he had to start the company in Pasadena more than 11 years ago. "When it first got stolen I thought that I had lost everything, but thanks to the insurance money I was able to do this and so began a new chapter of my life," acknowledged Mark Lopreiato.

"I've made a lot of sacrifices and it was very difficult in the beginning. In fact, my first place of business was my small apartment, but at one point I even lived in the warehouse I later rented. All in all, it's been worth it! I've had a lot of fun along the way. I've got a commercial on television. I've meet a lot of fine folks that have helped me through this and 'yes,' I still work out of that same warehouse, but I have 5 more spaces now," added Mark Lopreiato.

"The message for people with great ideas is that you can write your own patent even if you don't have a corporation's budget to support your dream. In fact, all you have to do is find the nearest patent depository (library), study current and past patents, focus and absorb all of the knowledge you can to proceed 'claiming,' if you will, your very own intellectual property," he concluded.

Every state has at least one of these unique libraries. California has 5 of them and even Puerto Rico has one.

The company produces and distributes the straps which can be found now at The Home Depot, Target, Ace Hardware and Sears. More information can be found at ForearmForklift.com
