Stream Energy, one of the fastest growing companies in U.S. business history, is ranked 29th in a list of the top 200 private companies in the Dallas-Fort Worth Region unveiled today by the Dallas Business Journal.

"This is another significant accomplishment for the Stream Energy family," noted Stream Energy Chairman Rob Snyder. "Though we are a relatively young company, we have built a considerable reputation as a leader in the Texas and Georgia deregulated energy markets."

The announcement of the Dallas Business Journal private company ranking follows a recent report by Inc. magazine ranking Stream Energy #18 nationwide in terms of gross dollars of growth for four full calendar years.

"The Dallas Business Journal ranking is yet another example of the breathtaking results that Stream Energy and Ignite have been able to achieve in a very short time span," said Stream Energy Senior Managing Director Chris Domhoff, who is the founder of Ignite, the company's wholly owned marketing arm.

As an energy supplier that is rapidly expanding, Stream Energy is focusing on ways to provide low electric bills for customers through locked-in rates - particularly for the elderly who are have been hit hardest by home electricity bills this summer.
