Stream Energy Increases Its Maryland Service Area, Launches Dual-Commodity Service
Firm expands its service to customers in the BGE and Delmarva territories
Online, March 20, 2013 (Newswire.com) - The world's largest energy network marketing company, Stream Energy, announced today that it has expanded its Maryland service footprint to now include electricity service to consumers in the Delmarva area. Additionally, the firm is now providing natural gas to consumers in the Baltimore Gas & Electric (BGE) service area.
With this announcement, Stream Energy is able to provide energy to an additional 750,000 meters combined in just these two service territories. The firm has already been providing electricity service to customers in the BGE and PEPCO service areas.
"With today's announcement, we have significantly expanded our investment in serving consumers in the Old Line State," said Stream Energy Chairman Rob Snyder. "This brings our total serviceable area in Maryland to 1.76 million electricity meters. And thanks to the launch of Stream Energy's natural gas service in the BGE area, Maryland becomes the latest northeastern state where Stream Energy provides dual-commodity service, thereby increasing consumers' opportunities to save money."
Dallas-based Stream Energy is a provider of energy services in six states. The firm's wholly owned subsidiary, Ignite, incentivizes entrepreneurs to explain the advantages of energy deregulation directly to consumers and has created a paradigm shift in how energy companies in deregulated markets attract new customers. The firm has posted total revenues in excess of $5 billion since its founding and has received numerous accolades and honors.
