Students Of Usha Martin Academy Hazaribagh Learn The Importance Of Peaceful Contemplation In Management, At Bodh Gaya

Online, February 1, 2013 (Newswire.com) - In its continuing series of inspired educational innovations, Usha Martin Academy , Hazaribagh, took a batch of 40 students to Bodh Gaya, the global centre of Buddhism, for an outing-cum-study tour. The first-of-its-kind event was held on the 12th of January 2012, and was widely covered by a number of media, including Dainik Jagran, Dainik Bhaskar, and Prabhat Khabar. The Centre Head of UMA, Hazaribagh, Mr. Jyotirmoy Debnath, oversaw the study tour. The Faculty guides from UMA Hazaribagh, for the tour to Bodh Gaya were Mr. Arvind Mahajan, Mr. Martand Pratap Singh, and Mr. Ehsan-ulHaq.

Starting out as early as 7 AM on the 12th of January 2013, the students of UMA made the most of the 180 kms journey from Hazaribagh to Bodh Gaya, singing and dancing in the bus. The study tour from UMA Hazaribagh reached Bodh Gaya by around 11 AM.

"The main attractions of Bodh Gaya are the MahaBodhi Temple and MahaBodhi Vriksh," observed Neeraj Prakash, BCA - IIIrd Semester at UMA Hazaribagh. "Interestingly we also spent some time studying the dozen-or-so temples within the holy precincts, made by countries like Tibet, China, Thailand, Sri Lanka. The 80-feet tall statue of Buddha had an extremely calming affect on most of us."
