​Following the success of the first few episodes of his cooking show, Andrew De Niese has decided to put his favorite recipes and cooking expertise to paper. He hopes to provide easy-to-cook recipes for people to make at home, without the hassle that sometimes comes with cooking.

“The feedback from the first handful of episodes has been amazing,” De Niese explains. “I have always wanted to write a cookbook, but with the show’s success, it’s a must-do for me.”

The book would also contain tips and tricks from the best chefs in the United States and would capture some of the enthusiasm from the show on television to paper.

A cookbook is not the only project De Niese has been approached to contribute to. The show has gained viral popularity in the city of Bakersfield, California, with people discussing the culinary delights the show brings forward.

The people of Bakersfield have requested Andrew De Niese to be a part of projects taking place in and around the city to promote community spirit. Some of these projects have included a local college requesting him to give a speech about the culinary history of Europe, where De Niese is currently residing. Another institution has requested him to conduct cooking classes in their facility.

"Getting the book written and out for sale is very important to me," De Niese adds with a smile. "But all of these projects coming my way is exciting and humbling. I really hope to connect people to cooking and show them that a kitchen is not a terrifying place. Connecting the premise of the show to the book is important too."

The show features a guest chef in each episode alongside with Andrew De Niese, the host, cooking a dish in competition-style television. De Niese would have to cook something unique that represents the best of European cuisine. Both the chefs would be preparing a four-course meal, including a starter, a main course, a palate cleanser, and the last course would be the dessert.

"I really want to have the book feature a different chef and their take on a four-course meal that is easy to cook for people at home," De Niese explains. "And my goal is to connect the show with the book, and vice versa."

To give an example of what the book might be like for readers, you will have to understand the show. The first episode involved a cook-off, where several guests were chosen at random from the audience to be judges. They choose De Niese’s grilled octopus tacos, as his competition celebrity chef offered a winter salad.

Again, they choose Andrew De Niese’s meal of charred flank steak while comparing it to the celebrity chef’s whole roasted chicken with root mash.

Overall, the show is a relaxed setting. You get the feel of a kitchen that is welcoming and a place for anyone to cook a meal and have fun doing it. The entire audience is also served two cocktails personally prepared by De Niese. It’s an open-air cooking show, where they not only feature cocktails but appetizers as well as the four-course meal created by De Niese and that episode’s celebrity chef.

While he feels that European cuisine is one of the best, he is looking forward to trying the best of other cuisines too. The book will feature cuisines from all over the way and then simplified for people at home cooking.
