Sumter Senior Living Raises More Than $3,000 for Disabled Veterans
Sumter Senior Living presented a $3,146 donation to the Disabled American Veterans Association. The donated funds will be used to help veterans and their families access available benefits, care and assistance programs devoted to those who served the military.
THE VILLAGES, Fla., July 30, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Sumter Senior Living recently presented a $3,146 cash donation to the Disabled American Veterans Association – The Villages Chapter 150. The donated funds were raised during the community’s renowned Casino Night Charity Event and will be used to benefit wounded, ill, or injured veterans and their families.
The event featured poker, blackjack, slots and other Las Vegas-style casino games; chef-prepared hors d’ oeuvres; live music and dancing; a silent auction, and a 50/50 raffle. Players received $200 worth of gaming vouchers in return for their $20 donations, or $500 in gaming vouchers for $40.

The Casino Night Charity Event took place on June 6 at Sumter Senior Living, which is located at 1490 Killingsworth Way in The Villages, Florida. The community offers Independent Living apartments as well as Assisted Living and Memory Care options, and is owned and managed by Florida-based Discovery Senior Living.
