Super Ride XII: Equestrian Arts Fest to Partner with Red 55 and Pink Pistol Texas
Online, January 21, 2014 (Newswire.com) - A partnership is being announced today between Super Ride XII: International Festival of the Equestrian Arts and Red 55 Winery housed within the Pink Pistol Texas, a retail enterprise owned by country music superstar Miranda Lambert in partnership with her parents, Lindale residents Rick and Beverly Lambert.
Scheduled for June 17 - 21 at the beautiful Texas Rose Horse Park near Lindale, the equestrian arts festival will feature championship level competitions in five (5) team oriented disciplines: Mounted Color Guard, Drill Team, Vaulting, (Dressage Based) Quadrille and Escaramuza - an all female, sidesaddle sport deeply rooted in the history and traditions of Mexico.
During the festival, Drill Teams and Color Guard Units from throughout the United States will compete for United States Equestrian Drill Association (USEDA) National Championships in twenty-three (23) divisions.
International competitors, including China's Jiangsu (Province) Equestrian Team and the Saffron Walden & District Riding Club - champions of the SEIB / British Riding Clubs Quadrille of the Year at December's London International Horse Show (Olympia) - have received invitations to compete for top prizes in the prestigious Super Ride Quadrille championship - which showcases the talent and artistry of teams of four horse and rider combinations.
During the final three days of competition (June 19, 20 and 21), the Super Ride Organizing Committee will host a wine festival showcasing Red 55 wines. Reflecting Ms. Lambert's lifestyle, personality and most successful recordings, these products include: County Road 233 Merlot, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Sweet White Table Wine, Belle Sweet Red Table Wine and White Liar Chardonnay. The full line of wine products will be on sale at the horse park and at the Pink Pistol Texas/Red 55 Winery in Lindale.
"We are truly grateful for the support received from Miranda's Pink Pistol Texas, her family and members of her staff", says Gary Bonner, Executive Director of Super Ride. "Pink Pistol and the Red 55 Winery have taken a leading role in the run-up to our 2014 event, and have been absolutely wonderful to work with".
"We at Red 55 and The Pink Pistol Texas are honored to be included in an occasion as highly esteemed at Super Ride XII" , says Bev Lambert, co owner of The Pink Pistol Texas. "As our daughter is an equestrian in training with her new Gypsy Vanner, Sophie (a birthday gift from husband, Blake Shelton), we are newly acquainted with the excitement surrounding a championship level event coming to our community. We are honored to bring our wine line to be part of the festivities. We, along with our daughter Miranda, are longtime Lindale residents and we trust that the visitors to this event will be impressed with our hometown".
Born in nearby Longview, Texas and raised in Lindale, Miranda Lambert gained fame as a finalist on the 2003 season of the popular reality television series Nashville Star. With four number one singles and over three million records sold to date, her work has been honored by the Grammy Awards, the Academy of Country Music Awards and the Country Music Association Awards.
