Surface Guard® 132 Series & 133 Series Protective Films For Semi-Matte/Textured Metals And Plastics
Online, August 1, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Surface Guard® 132 series & 133 series are two similar protective film grades with slight differences in adhesion strength. Each product features a polyolefin film coated with our environmentally friendly, water based acrylic adhesive system. This unique adhesive chemistry provides a low peel value with moderate tack which allows the masking to adhere to a variety of gloss surfaces including painted metal and plastic. Depending on the manufacturing process, both Surface Guard® 132 series & 133 series have been tested with extremely stable results to exhibit low adhesion build over time when used with stainless steel, poly carbonate, acrylic, painted metal and bright aluminum surfaces. When protection is no longer needed, Surface Guard® 132 series & 133 series products are easily removed with a quick, zippy release.
Surface Guard® 132 and Surface Guard® 133 are typically supplied on a 1.5 mil Linear Low Density or 2.5 mil Low Density polyethylene films (clear and tinted films are available). On request Surface Guard can print the film to include a brand identity, technical information or instructions for lamination or processing. Surface Guard® 132 series or Surface Guard® 133 series can be supplied in widths from 1" up to 80" and in roll lengths up to 15,000'. Surface Guard can cross directional perforate pre-measured pieces of film on rolls, making it very easy to tear a piece from the roll and hand apply it to a part. Minimum perforation repeat is 2". Machine directional perforating is also available. Surface Guard can also supply finished rolls with uncoated edges, to make the film easier to remove. Another option is to apply the adhesive in strips leaving uncoated areas. This can make the product easier to remove as well as save you money.
