Surgeons to Share Natural Breast Reconstruction Expertise in Free Webinar

Online, March 24, 2012 (Newswire.com) - CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA-Dr. James Craigie and Dr. Richard M. Kline, Jr., breast reconstruction surgery specialists and co-directors of The Center for Natural Breast Reconstruction, will host a free webinar on April 12 to inform and educate women about natural breast reconstruction.

In the U.S., one in 8 women-slightly under 12 percent of the female population-will be diagnosed with breast cancer during the course of their lives. Of those affected, about 30 percent elect mastectomy due to fears of recurrence of the cancer. According to the New England Journal of Medicine, those who choose to avoid mastectomy often do so at least partially for cosmetic reasons.

During the webinar, Is Natural Breast Reconstruction Right for Me?, surgeons from The Center for Natural Breast Reconstruction will help women who have undergone or are planning to undergo mastectomy determine whether they might enjoy the emotional and physical benefits of natural breast reconstruction.
