SweatWorks to Provide Scoring for Life Time Fitness' Annual Alpha Showdown

South Orange , September 16, 2015 (Newswire.com) - SweatWorks, a fitness software company headquartered in New Jersey, is excited to announce its first event partnership with Life Time Fitness’—the Alpha Showdown—at which SweatWorks will provide its innovative, real-time scoring technologies.

The annual Alpha Showdown competition, which takes place on September 19, 2015  in Chanhassen, MN is designed to test participants’ athletic ability and energy through gauntlets in each of the Eight Fitness Abilities—power, strength, balance, agility, speed, coordination, endurance and flexibility. The competition transforms fitness into a true sport competition as it pushes participants’ past their boundaries mentally and physically. The comprehensive performance challenge allows competitors to determine their place among the fittest people in North America. Event categories include individual male, female and teams. Participants include 32 regional winners from 16 regions throughout the U.S. and Canada.

As part of  providing scoring services for the event, SweatWorks representatives will be onsite to assist and monitor its real-time score boards and technologies.  Life Time will be feature the leaderboard on large screens and mobile devices throughout the venue.

SweatWorks’ real-time leaderboards offer a wealth of flexibility for participants, judges and attendees. At this particular event, Life Time will be projecting its leaderboard using a high-definition link provided by SweatWorks. Smaller events with scoring by SweatWorks are showcased on flat screen TVs. At both large and small events, athletes have the ability to view the leaderboard on a separate URL and a wide range of mobile devices.Organizers are provided greater flexibility to promote their boxes and their events with the option to have their leaderboards directly embedded on their websites.
