Swimwear Giant, Gottex, Implements Priority ERP Worldwide
Iconic swimwear manufacturer, Gottex, chooses Priority ERP to manage global operations
Newton, MA, March 22, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Priority Software and its long time business partner, MedaTech, today announced the recent Priority ERP implementation with swimwear manufacturer, Gottex, who are now deploying Priority at all Gottex sites worldwide. The scope of this project is approximately £200,000. Extended over five continents, the project includes a dedicated module for the fashion industry and enhancements to Gottex's internal processes, which until recently, were managed by several software systems. Implementing a single solution has enabled Gottex users to effectively manage and control daily operations, saving valuable time and resources.
Gottex, the iconic swimwear brand, was established in 1956, and has since been associated with quality, fashionable and glamorous swimwear and beachwear the world over. Known for using innovative fabrics, Gottex was the first swimwear manufacturer to introduce Spandex. By the 1980s, Gottex swimsuits were being worn by Princess Diana, Spain's Queen Sofia, Elizabeth Taylor and Brooke Shields. Today, Gottex continues its legacy and is among the top swimsuit imports in North America and Europe.
MedaTech, with offices in Israel, UK and Australia, develop and integrate ERP solutions for companies and organizations of varying sizes. MedaTech implemented Priority ERP company-wide at Gottex, including dedicated customizations of the Priority system to support the company's financial operations, purchasing planning and production management, with an emphasis on inventory control and improving delivery ratios. As part of the project, changes to some work methods in the company were implemented, automating processes that were previously managed outside of a structured IT system. Further, the project included Priority's dedicated fashion module, which enables users to manage individual items in a predefined matrix and to set parameters for individual swimsuits or other pieces, including reference colors and sizes.
Hanna Sarel, CEO of MedaTech Israel, commented, "The project was challenging since Gottex operates in several countries, with marketing offices in the US and production plants in the US, China, Morocco and Hungary. Our needs assessment was carefully performed, factoring in Gottex's dynamic structure and how Priority ERP could best meet their needs. We continue to work closely with the Gottex team to provide them with a holistic solution for a wide variety of users and support the ever changing fashion industry's needs."
Liat Leiser, Gottex CIO, added, "Integrating Priority ERP really helped us implement new strategic processes throughout our entire organization. The results were clear – improved supply chain efficiency, cost-savings and enhanced company performance. More importantly, with Priority, we were able to create true information transparency on a corporate level and improve our data analysis, both of which help us in the decision-making process."
“We are proud to partner with Gottex and to provide ERP solutions tailored to the fashion industry. Strongly supported by MedaTech, we are confident that Gottex will enhance their operational management efficiency," comments Andres Richter, CEO of Priority Software. "With the highly competitive fashion industry, implementing a scalable and flexibly ERP system will help Gottex unify their operations and continue their global market leadership."
